  • Overview

    The Store Associate is a key employee whose actions have a direct effect on the store quality for our guests, in addition to ensuring profitability of our stores. These objectives are obtained through quality customer service, merchandising handling, cleaning, maintenance, safety, security and other general duties as assigned.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provides prompt and courteous customer service by discovering guest’s needs.
    • Performs duties necessary to maintain internal and external store cleanliness; in addition to basic upkeep so that floors, windows, restrooms, food preparation areas, shelves, and counters stay clean and presentable at all times.
    • Maintain gas island cleanliness, safety, and stock levels (oil spills, windshield fluid, pumps, etc.)
    • Empties and cleans all trash cans at beginning, during and at the end of shift, or as required.
    • Maintains the vault free of empty boxes and trash, and maintains the upkeep according to schematics.
    • Maintains beverage area, condiments, and food levels, ensuring they are clean, fresh, stocked (coffee, hotdogs, burritos, etc.)
    • Completes all required paperwork accurately (invoices, vendors, job assignment sheets, etc.)
    • Assists in maintaining store equipment; including preventative maintenance, cleaning, and etc.
    • Assists management in ordering, vendor check-in, and inventory count.
    • Maintains knowledge of all product offerings and promotions. Maintains 100% in-store efficiency on top selling items.
    • Receives products from vendors and follows correct procedures (Building, and taking down displays.)
    • Fronts and faces shelves periodically throughout shift. Maintains merchandise including rotation, storage, and pricing promptly and accurately.
    • Handles all bad merchandise as per company policy.
    • Adheres to safety, security and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs to minimize guests and/or employee injuries. Eliminating safety hazards; reporting unsafe acts or conditions to management.
    • Reacting to and reporting guest’s complaints tactfully and promptly.
    • Follows policies and procedures established to prevent loss of cash and merchandise due to actions by employees, vendors and guests.
    • Maintains a professional personal appearance in accordance with company dress code and personal appearance policy.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.



    • Must be at least 18 years or older to apply.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Previous retail experience is perferred.
    • Abilty to perform essential duties.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Demonstrates stocking capability, exceptional customer service, with integrity, and honesty.
    • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members on a daily basis.
    • Ability to write routine reports and to speak effectively before guests and employees.
    • Ability to work with team members, and management with minimum supervision.
    • Ability to safeguard cash and merchandise; following company robbery prevention and reaction procedures as provided in the Emergency Response and Reporting Procedures, and Policy Manual.
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment when receiving assignments, due dates, and general procedures.

    Physical Functions

    • Must be able to stand and/or walk for full shift, in addition to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground, to overhead and/or 60 pounds from ground to waist level (assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels.)
    • Ability to push, and pull with arms up to a force of 128 pounds (i.e., utilizing hand truck.)
    • Ability to bend at the waist with some twisting, up to one hour of the workday.
    • May be required to climb a ladder and/or stool, kneel or crouch to retrieve materials.
    • Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands.

    Working Conditions

    • Employee performs approximately 95% of work indoors. Outside work will be required.
    • Employee is exposed to intermittent indoor cold temperature extremes, when working in the walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
